Artist's Comments

So, this is another one. Except this one has little egg sacs embedded in it's torso, and you can see little embryos in there. When the eggs near a certain age, the parental dangler-thing will claw itself apart, severing it's body from whatever it had attached itself to. It then falls to the ground, and curls up into a ball with it's large, razor-like claws protruding to protect it from any predators.

The parental dangler dies slowly in this position, while it's offspring gain strength by feeding from the parent.

When the eggs hatch, the larvae will begin feeding on the dead parent, and then wiggle their separate ways to find homes themselves.

When a dangler-thing larvae comes into contact with another, they fertilize each-other's already matured egg sacs, and then continue on their way to find a home.

Once the larvae mature into full adults, they remain stationary, and live their lives until they are ready to give birth.

Thus, the circle of life is filled.

(This one has been sitting unfinished like this for god-know-how-long)
